UK Startup Visa- Overview
The UK Startup Visais a new Visa route that allows entrepreneurs outside the European Economic Area and Switzerland to set up an enterprise in the UK. The UK startup Visais a replacement of the Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur Visa and it is fundamentally for budding entrepreneurs who are looking to set up their startup in the UK for the first time. As per the rules published by UK immigration on 7th March 2019, the Startup Visa facilitates budding business owners to stay in the UK for two years along with their families. However, after 2 years there is no way to extend the start-up Visa. After that, a business owner has to switch to the Innovator Visa to extend their stay in the UK.
Eligibility
To get a UK startup visa, the candidate must be:
- At least 18 years or above
- Proficient in the different English language requirements
- Able to describe a business or business idea that needs to be verified by an approved assessment body.
- Able to give the evidence of funds or personal savings enough to support your stay in the UK.
- Must clear English language requirement of atleast CEFR(Level B2)
