Spain Golden Visa

RESIDENCY BY INVESTMENT

OVERVIEW

Invest in Spain, Gain Temporary Residency with Ample Benefits

Golden Visa law of Spain came into effect in 2013, enabling non-EU residents to obtain a temporary permit of residency in the country. Obtaining the Golden Visa requires the applicant to make a significant real estate investment. Once granted, the status of residency extends to the applicant’s dependant family as well.

The visa demands renewal every two years*. After 5 years of temporary residency, one can apply for permanent residency, and after 10 years of holding the PR status, one can apply formally for the citizenship of Spain. While a person must reside in the country for 10 years to obtain citizenship, there are no such regulations for temporary residents.
