CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT
New Brunswick PNP (Entrepreneur Stream)
The New Brunswick PNP – Entrepreneur Stream is designed to offer PR status to foreign nationals willing to make a business investment in the region, eventually settling down with the family.
Eligibility Criteria
Non-financial
- Applicant age between 22 to 55 years.
- Post-secondary education degree (2 years) or a diploma.
- Level 5 Language competency in English or French (reading, speaking, listening, and writing).
- Visit and explore New Brunswick, or take part in any Provincial Government organized information session.
Financial & Business Investment
- A minimum net worth of $600,000 (personal and legally acquired), including $300,000 in tangential liquidity.
- Business investment of a minimum of $250,000 in any provincial business, with a minimum of 33% ownership.
- Make a $100,000 deposit and sign a Business Performance Agreement.
- Generate economic benefits for the province through business investment.
- Submission of a business plan (1000 - 1500 words).
- Acquired business experience in the last 5 years; a minimum of 3 years (owner) or 5 years (senior management).
Application Process
1. Submit a self-assessed Expression of Interest online.
2. The provincial immigration authorities select candidates who are invited to apply for NBPNP. The application along with a verification document of the net worth has to be made within 90 days of the invitation.
3. The application gets assessed by the New Brunswick officials. They also assess the practicality of the submitted business plan. The candidate might receive a call for a formal interview.
4. After the assessment, the selected candidates for NBPNP get a letter of approval, following which, they are required to submit a Business Performance Agreement along with the deposit (to the Dept of Post-Secondary Education, Training & Labour). The candidate must fulfil all formalities within 60 days of receiving the Nomination Decision letter.
5. In the final stage, all successful applicants receive a nomination for NBPNP, using the same to apply to the IRCC for PR.
After establishing the business in New Brunswick the entrepreneur has to:
Report to the Dept. of Post-Secondary Education, Training & Labour (in 30 days).
Meet face-to-face with a Dept. of Post-Secondary Education, Training & Labour official (in 60 days).
Submit progress report in a face-to-face meeting with Dept. of Post-Secondary Education, Training & Labour (in 180 days).
Establish business and fulfil Business Performance Agreement (in 2 years)
